Overview
This trek is one of the unique and silent treks in ladakh that takes you through beautiful and challenging trails, giving you splendid mountain peak views.
This trek starts from Lamayuru and ends at Darcha and thus covers two different states of the territory of India. The trek is considered to be one of the most challenging treks in Ladakh and has one or two huge passes to be crossed everyday. Zangskar, which is one of the remotest places on the planet earth is one of the most amazing treats of the trek. Zanskar valley is filled with centuries old monasteries, some of them being the oldest in ladakh. the trek amaze you with its beautiful panoramic insights and is home to one of the most humble people you are ever gonna meet. The region remains cut of from the rest of the world in winter and the chadar becomes their only mode of survival. At the end of the trek, you are treated with the frozen Shingo la standing tall over 5000 mtrs.
